We bought this lovely book for our just as lovely almost three-year-old grand-daughter. Our son reads it to her every night, often two or three times, and he and she adore it. He was an art teacher before becoming an elementary school principal so when he says it's the best pop-up he's ever seen or read from, believe it!!!

Goosebumps! December 30, 2008
When I opened the first page in the bookstore, I gasped out loud and immediately got goosebumps. I could not fathom how a simple book could look and act so magical (AND cost less than $20)! I bought it for my 3-year-old niece but couldn't wait to show it to my adult friends, and they all had the same *gasp!* reaction I did. I didn't actually read the story till a few days later, and as I read it out loud to my mom, I started to get all choked up...it's truly beautiful in a minimalist way. I am keeping this on my amazon wishlist for the next time I need a gift, for a child or a grown-up!

This is a great book. The story is fantastic and I have never seen a more beautiful pop-up book. When a child opens this book you will remember the look on thier face forever.

I love this book - I enjoy watching each person see it for the first time. It's good for all ages. It is pure joy and you forget about all bad things while you're in the book.

One of the best books ever written! Wonderfully warm & a delight! I read it to a class of 1st graders at Christmastime & they shouted an enthusiastic, "Awesome!!! Thank you!!!" We LOVE it!!! I've given several copies as Christmas gifts!
