Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Safe Shoes Child IDTM is a paper-thin yet extremely durable 3" x 1" self-laminating vinyl label that solves the problem of children carrying (not practical) or wearing (not safe) visible identification. Each label has space for 5 phone numbers and 3 names of people your child can call if they are lost or in trouble. Safe Shoes labels empower children because they know they can always reach help if needed. In a high stress situation, such as being lost, a child may forget their phone number, or even their parents' names.Although they seem useful, it isn't safe for your child to wear an ID bracelet, necklace, or wristband. If abducted, any visible identification will be removed. But typically abductors won't change a child's shoes. If your child can reach a trusted adult, and show them their Safe Shoes, there is a greater chance of rescue. The important message on the label ("This child may be lost or in trouble. Please assist by calling contact numbers") alerts an adult to a serious situation.Complete instructions describing how to fill out and apply each label are clearly printed on every label backing. The parent or guardian simply fills out their contact information, peels backing off a clear laminate strip attached to the label (not visible in photo), seals laminate over label to make it tamperproof and waterproof, and peels backing off label and sticks it into child's shoe at the bottom. The child's name is not written on the label, for safety purposes.
