Product Description A town inhabited by 2 bears with fantastic activities and surprises. The town has three main areas. The house, a play area, and a car park. In the house a child can allow their imagination to create a home for the bears. The play area has a shape sorter where the child can hammer colorful pieces into the correct spot. To remove the blocks the child only needs to open the door. The car park has two free wheel moving cars and a police bear that watches the cars as they spin on the garage carousel. Appropriate for children ages 1 year old and up.

Muy completo December 12, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pretty Good, but not Fantastic May 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While my 19 month old daughter does enjoy this toy, I wouldn't say it is her absolute favorite. Like with most of her toys, she spends maybe 5 to 10 minutes with it before moving onto something else. The 5 minutes is if she's playing with it by herself. If I play with her, she is interested for maybe 10 minutes. I will say that there is still room to grow with this toy. It wasn't something she had 100% mastered within minutes of sitting down. She understands how the bear goes down the little ladder and then can be catapulted in the air. But she has a hard time getting the toy to do these things on her own, which is a good thing since it means room to grow with the toy. There are other things on the toy that she can partially do, but there is still room to grow. She can make the cars spin around, but only with her finger pushing into the slot, not when the "police bear" is in the slot because it takes more force. She also moves the moving sidewalk with putting her fingers where the bear is supposed to go rather than the dial on the side (even when I show her). So there is still learning potential. The big negative is that within a few minutes of playing with the toy, the green door popped off. It does go back on, but it is very, very easy to pull off. And the button that you press to get the green door to open does not work very well either. Sometimes the door just falls off when you press the button that you are supposed to press to get the door to open. And if you use your hand to open the door, it just pops right off. This does not necessarily seem to bother my child (yet) in terms of her enjoyment of the toy. But it is sad that the same day we bought the toy the door already falls off. I have not had a chance to call the manufacturer, but will be calling. However, don't know if it can be replaced since the button that opens the door doesn't work very well either.
Why is this so cool? November 9, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't completely understand the appeal of this toy, but my son loved it from the moment his grandmother bought it for him on a whim nearly two years ago. Now, his younger sister and cousin play with it almost daily. The one problem is that someone snapped off one of the doors to the shape-sorter part of the toy. Also, the "bed," "chair," and other unidentifiable item that go in the house part are pretty goofy looking. The kids would be just as happy without them. Still, money well-spent!
This is a great toy! October 31, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
When my son got this for his first birthday I didn't think much of it because it didn't seem as interactive as other toys - but six years later we still have it and number two is loving it as much as number one did. This is the toy that outlasted all the others - every kid who comes over loves it and many of their parents have gone out and purchased it because their kids had so much fun with it. This won't be one of those toys that you spend a lot of money on and then find hidden in the back of the closet. It works for a wide range of kids - first they love just banging with the hammer and watching the cars spin; later it's fun to experiment with the steps and catapult. Watching stuff fly through the air gave my kids hours of fun.
The BEST toy - EVER!!! January 22, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
We received this for Christmas (along with lots of other Chicco and other brand toys)and a month later - my kids still won't let me put Bear Ville away to rotate it with the others!! My 2 and 1/2 year old and 15 month do not tire of this toy - AT ALL!! It's a great toy, very durable and even I don't get bored sitting w/ them and playing with it day after day after day. We have a lot of the Fisher Price Little People stuff and the Little People toys just don't compare with Bear Ville. The kids lose interest w/ Little People but not Bear Ville. You really won't be disappointed with this toy! I just wish Chicco would make other Bear Ville type items! I'd buy every one!
