Cute, but ineffective December 21, 2008 My daughter is 10 months old and has been a squirmy wormy at diaper changing time for at least a month now. We had high hopes for the flutterbug. But, by the second diaper change, my daughter had pulled off half of the wings (they are detachable and go back on), and the novelty was definitely over. My daughter now likes to play with the wings separately. There's a wind-up mobile feature - even if you wind it up all the way, the song doesn't last throughout the duration of a diaper change (our changes, at least). Really, though, I think this got us one good diaper change. It's probably better for younger babies who aren't as antsy at diaper time, but not for an active 9mo old.
Not bad ... but wings get stuck December 12, 2008 Well constructed, colorful mobile. My 2 month son enjoys looking at it on the changing table. My main complaint is that the 4 wings often get "stuck" against the body or the head of the butterfly and do not rotate fully around. The result is an interesting flutter, but I'm pretty sure this is not a feature, it's a design flaw.
gets baby's attention December 5, 2008 i love the flutterbut with music as it always captures the attention of my now 10 month old....i put in along his playpen and he always smiles and looks up...he also loves standing and reaching for the 'wings' ...he manages at times to pull off the wings and play with them as the music continues to play. he loves this and so do we.
Every changing table needs one October 27, 2008 So glad I found this for my 7 month old! Once he started fighting his diaper changes I had to find something to keep him occupied. This is perfect; just out of his reach and interesting enough to keep his attention. Sometimes he does grab at the wings on the way down- the good thing is they pop right off and he can hold them (he thinks he has something he shouldnt so its great!) and they pop right back on. Highly recommended for the changing table!
Baby loves it! September 30, 2008 My grandchild loves this, the colors are great and she tries to touch the hanging ribbons. She was an upset child on the changing table until I turned this on, it did wonders! The price is right too!
