Nice Gift January 6, 2009 The cube came just as advertised. It was a gift for a 1 year old and he loves it.
A Wonderful Developmental Toy December 28, 2008 My wife and I purchased this gift for our 10 month old for Christmas. We originally thought the play cube would be too advanced for our son, but once we received it, he immediately began cruising on the sides of the it, puling up on it to play with the beads on the top, as well as using his fingers to rotate the gears, play with the abacus, slap the blocks, and even working on his pincer technique by manipulating the pegs through the paths. What really makes the play cube a great toy is that it is a developmental toy that allows for interest as our son grows, and will eventually help him leanr the alphabet.
Very nice toy December 22, 2008 I bought this for my 10 month old grand son. He plays with it several times a day but it will probably be better when he gets a little older. I had one problem right out of the box. One of the holes for a part you have to screw to the toy was damaged (to big). I had to take peaces of a broken tooth pick and put them in the hole along with super glue and then put the screw in. That fixed it. I would recommend this toy.
Not high quality December 15, 2008 Shipping was fast from the seller... The item wasn't as high of quality as I was expecting. It had screws loose (one had fallen completely out). It is hollow in the center with no bottom and the moveable colored pegs on the side are in there all floppy and are not very easily moved around. I don't think this cube is anywhere near worth the cost the retailers are charging for it.
This toy never gets old! November 14, 2008 My daughter has had this toy since she was 5 months old. She loved it from the beginning and it continues to be one of her favorite toys at 15 months old! She first used it to balance when she was learning to stand and liked playing primarily with the beads on top. Now she plays with the beads on top more deliberatly and the activities on mostly 2 sides of the cube. We haven't even started with the other 2 sides and once she starts learning letters and counting, she'll have even more to enjoy. She'll easily get many more years of enjoyment out of this - and because the quality is exceptional, it will last that long too!
