Product Description 6+ months Features 12 colorful, 3-D shapes. Baby has so much fun sorting the 3-different shapes or reaching through the soft end to retrieve the shapes and starting all over again! Its non-stop shape-sorting fun.
Editorial Review Exercise your baby's mental muscles with this unique shape sorter. Looking a little like a huge plumbing joint, either side of this hard plastic toy can rest on its cylindrical base. With the shape-sorter side up, you can help young learners lift off the lid to reach the 3-D triangles, circles, and squares. Pop the lid back on and practice dropping the 12 shapes into their appropriate holes. Then tip the toy over to reveal something beyond the norm: a slit cover made of soft rubber that allows little hands to reach in and pick a shape at random. Is it a smiling circle? Can you find all of the squares? Many engaging guessing games will be inspired as your student begins to distinguish between shapes with confidence. --Liane Thomas

For many skill levels and thefore useful December 22, 2008 For most shape sorters you need to be able to sort shapes before you can play with them. But at that point it is not fun anymore. With this one your baby can first drop all the shapes without lid (no sorting), then the baby learns to drop little pyramids in the triangular opening (the easiest), then come balls and cubes are last. It is really smart to make shapes 3-dimensional instead of flat. The baby can recognize the shape from all angles. I would definitely recommend this toy!
My kids still play with this after a year! October 26, 2001 My three year old got this for Christmas last year and totally loved it! My 4 1/2 year old loves it too! We have misplaced most of the pieces and have completely lost the end cap, but my boys still use it to transport things! If you can keep it in one piece, it's totally worth the money!
Wonderful toy September 21, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just gave this toy to my 1 year old niece and she loved it. Her 3 year old brother also played with it for quite a while. It is durable, and there are many things they can do with it. She was busy with it for almost 2 hours. Each day she would pull it out and play with it. I can't say enough about this toy! If the child can not put the shapes in their slots, they can push it through the other side. She likes reaching inside and pulling the shapes out easily. I like that the shapes, once put in don't come out unless you want them to. This is a GREAT toy!
fun a many levels August 25, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
great b/c you can take off the sorting lid and let them drop the shapes in when they are very small and can't possibly get the shapes right on purpose. if you get the other tomy ball party things you'll have billions of balls to drop in this toy too since they are the same size.
So much fun all in one July 18, 2001 My daughter is at the age where she is incredibly curious and at first she was a little nervous about putting her hand in the rubber opening of this toy to retrieve the plastic shapes inside, however, she has grown to love to play with her new toy. We take her Happy Toys everywhere with us. They stay neatly inside until she is ready to play. It is simple enough to travel with, yet complex enough to keep a young toddler busy for hours.
