Its a Buiild It Yourself Project December 26, 2008 This comes unassembled in a large 49 lbs box. 14 brightly painted pieces of wood composite. It took me over an hour to put together I'm pretty handy), and I had to enlarge 4 holes with a drill so some screws would assemble correctly. Its heavy as you put it together, and the entire assembly is a bit bulky. The only tool needed is the allen wrench, but I wish there was a better tool with a handle to assemble this. You might want to build it in the room where your child will use it as its heavy, and not easily tilted when fully assembled to fit its wingspan thru a doorway. Its perfect for my 3 y/o son, sizewise, and will continue to fit him for years to come. Its got a movable propeller (that you attach with one phillips screw, provided.) Parts are all marked well, and each type of screw/connector is in its own labeled bag. One page instructions with no text, only drawings. Easy enough to follow but small print. Now that its done, we like it a lot as it looks very cool. During the build, I wasn't so happy. Its substantial, sturdy.
a soaring hit October 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Grandson (4 yrs. old) wanted an airplane for his birthday. What a great idea. Great Price, Functional, fun! Sturdy. Large wing span, gives them plenty of writing space. Colors are great. I LOVE IT! Grandaughter (age 2) was devasted when there wasn't room for two. SO... ordered another!! Their imaginations are flying high, and artistic skills are soaring to a new level. Thank you!! Thank You!!
