 Great Toddler bed for our 2 1/2 year old son January 2, 2009
We purchased this car bed at an amazing price 168 for Christmas 2008 for our 2 1/2 year old son. He had a toddler conversion crib which was fine, but is really into cars and with a third baby on the way we wanted to make his new room feel special. Well, he loves it. I can actually now fit in his bed and read to him and even take a nap or two which is helpful, and at the same time the bed does not take up a lot of room in his bedroom. The twin version of this bed is huge!
My husband pieced the car bed together using a drill to enlarge some holes, a rubber mallet and some of his own butterfly plugs to mount a spring crib bed frame for it. Some people recommend using plywood but my two kids love jumping on this bed and with my weight on top of it, we felt better using a spring platform underneath.
The stickers need to go on carefully. Start slowly as you can not pull on and off. My husband did one side the right way with the giant lightening bolt coming up and over a little bit on the side and I did it with it a little lower on the other side. The point of this story was that even though I did it wrong on my side, we found that it is not peeling from our son getting in and out of the bed while my husband's side is. That is the only thing that worries me is that we would love the stickers to stay intact so that we can resell it down the road.

My son loves the bed is the good part, however the stickers were a total hassle to out on, and I messed one up and there is nothing you can do about it, if you try to peel it off to place it differntly it tears and looks even worse. In addition, the bed does not come with anything to hold the matress up with, so every time my son would get on the bed the matress would fall into the center. We ended up making something out of some plywood that works awesome, however for a bed that is over $200 I am beginning to wonder if it is really worth it.

We just purchased this toddler bed for our 32 month old GS. It was very easy to assemble and had it all together including putting on the stickers in less than an hour. Our grandson just loves it and he keeps looking in his room to make sure it's still there - too cute! He even kissed it today. The bed seems very sturdy and your little one will love it too.
Car bed November 4, 2008
My son loves this bed, he just got it for his 3rd birthday. He now claims to go nite-nite just to lay in it for a couple of minutes and then his up again full speed ahead.
The only issue was needing to get plywood for it. I only knew to buy plywood becuase of everyone elses reviews. It is stated on the box but when ordering online you don't have the ability to read the box.
Love the bed! Quite comfortable for me too!
