I gave the board as a Christmas Gift and it got rave reviews. They said it was a beautiful board.
Nice backgammon set January 4, 2009
Overall, the board game is very nice. It is not heavy weight or very solid but it's also not very expensive. Unfortunately, there were splodges of glue on the board which we have not yet been able to remove. So, overall, a nice board for the price but not perfect.
Impressive December 28, 2008
I purchased this for my son-in-law, an avid backgammon player. The set it absolutely beautiful. He was floored by the quality of the set, as was I.
If you have someone who will treasure a beautiful piece and also plays the game, by all means, don't hesitate to buy this set.
Beautiful set December 27, 2008
The wood patterns on this set are beautiful, and generally I was very pleased with it. As someone else said, the magnet clasps do not work well. One side holds but the other side does not. That is the only negative thing I have to say about this set.
