The Shake 'N Go Speedway is the ultimate racetrack. It comes with two Shake and Go cars, an infrared start/finish sensor, start gates and an LED lap counter. Kids can shake up the cars and watch them go...and with infrared sensing, the winner will actually be acknowledged by the track announcer! Requires 10 "AA" batteries (not included). Finally a racing set that harnesses the raw energetic power of the kids who play with it! This speedway comes with two cars, one red and one blue, which are powered up just by shaking them. Much like soda cans except with wheels and without all that sticky mess. Once the vehicles are ready to go, place them on the track and let them fly. As fun as that propulsion system is, the track is not adaptable to new configuration, which might hurt the prolonged play value of the set. This is mitigated, however, by the fact that the track announces, in an excited voice, which of the cars is in the lead and which actually wins the race. Shake cars November 30, 2007
I am giving this as a gift to my grandson who is 3. He has played with a toy like this and had great amount of fun. The only problem he had playing with his friend's was that the barriers would not stay on. We just didn't use them
The Kids Love It July 17, 2007
My 2 year old daughter, 4 year old & I like the shake n go racetrack. We are entertained with it but we also rotate our toys every month or so just to keep them from getting bored with their playsets. The race track itself is easy to clean. I recommend this toy for preschools and toddlers. If your kids liked to play with the GEOTRAX playsets then they would enjoy this too.

my 3 year old absolutly loves his shake n go. we got him the disney CARS version for Christmas and he plays with it regularly. best of all the cars can be played with off the track as well. only complaint is the track comes apart rather easily, needs better connectors.

My boys (3 1/2 and 2) love to shake the cars and place them on the racetrack. The cars and track are large enough for little hands. Also, we have purchased several (at least 6 add'l) shake & go cars. We bought all of the Pixar cars from "Cars" movie. Every child, boy or girl, that comes over to play wants to play with a shake & go car. So I have purchased this set for three of my boys' friends.

Purchased for a 4-year-old's birthday. The most we could get the cars to round the track was 5 times. Reviews were read that purchased cars were better than the cars that came with the track, but this is not true. No matter how new the batteries are and how many times we shake the cars, they go around five times. Disappointing. The fencing/barriers come off so easily that we don't bother using them, and the track also comes apart easily. The 2 stars is for the fact that my boys enjoy playing with the cars on the floor. Overall, not as fun at home as it seemed to be in the store.
