I thought it was great! January 23, 2010 D. Wallace Barney and the Secret of the Rainbow Review
This product is fantastic! We love Barney in our house. My children grew up loving the program on TV and now my granddaughter can enjoy Barney on the computer! This program has two levels so that makes it wonderful. Level 1 is perfect for very, very small children as they only need to push a button on the keyboard and ANY key will do. They can learn about animals and sounds, manners, dancing. I'm impressed. Level 2 requires using the mouse and clicking on items. With the vast differences in levels, this product can last for years.

Not what we expected January 22, 2010 TW (Braselton, Ga) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Being a huge Barney fan, we found this software disappointing. First of all, my daughters computer would accept or load the software on her Dell Windows XP; however, it loaded fine on my computer with Windows Vista. We have loaded about 5 other children's software programs on her system with no problems. Second, when we tried to use the software it takes way to long to get to the actual game. Barney or other characters spend too much time talking which loses the attention of my daughter. It is colorful, cute, and we love Barney, but does not measure up to the other games we bought.
Barney- Secret of the Rainbow January 19, 2010 Kasey Hanson (Covington, GA United States) I got this game for my 18 month old. He loves watching Barney on TV so I thought he would enjoy this game. He claps his hands as Barney sings. The program is very colorful with lots of fun games to teach him basic skills. Great fun for the both of us.
Fun Game for Preschoolers December 13, 2009 Kristin A. Mcpherson My three rambunctious boys (ages 3, 5, & 7) have enjoyed this software a lot and been able to use it with minimal adult assistance. I wouldn't say that it is all that educational ~ even my 3 year old already knew his colors and basic skills "taught" with these games ~ but it was very entertaining for them and had enough variety to keep them occupied for an hour or so. There are segments that my boys call "movies" - actual excerpts of Barney shows (with the music, etc.) that they like to watch. The games themselves are animated, colorful, and uncomplicated. There is also an option to print the activities that they complete. The kids seem to enjoy it pretty well, although it wouldn't be our all-time favorite as far as preschool educational software goes for actually teaching them much.

Great toddler game November 25, 2009 Tristan John I let my three-year-old with not a lot of computer experience try this game out. He could easily navigate through the different activities without a lot of help. He enjoyed the coloring pages and especially the singing and dancing. I think this was a great introduction to computer games, and I like how it had different levels for when he becomes more advanced.
